My driver's side front window decided to do the deed today. The Jeep goes to the dealer in the morning. I'm just barely over 30K so I don't have to eat this one. |

Everyone with an `05 and newer should just sell their KJ/KK and buy `02-04 KJ's. |

Well here's the update: I was informed that my warranty had expired in April of this year. I voiced my concerns and pretty much said that if I have to pay the whole balance of the bill ($540.00), I will never buy a Jeep/Chrysler product ever again. Customer service at Chrysler worked a deal with the stealership for me to only pay $100 and Chrysler would cover the remaining balance. Got my Liberty back just in time. There was 2 inches on my Jeep when I got off of work tonight. 4-Hi all the way home. |

$540?! I assume they replaced the whole window?? Nice that they decided to help you out instead of sticking it to ya. |

Yeah it included replacing the window as well. They also tinted it to match the other windows. I think that's what jacked the price up a bit more. I did find out that the driver's side rear window reg. has already been replaced. I only have to wait for the other two to go now. I think I may end up getting the replacement part I've seen to avoid going through this on the other two windows. |

The only window that hasn't failed is my rear passenger. All the others have fallen down. I've replaced the rear driver side 2x. I love Jeep window regulators. |

I've already had two windows fixed and received the "goodwill" warranty repair that cost me $100.00 per window. The third window went today, taking it in tomorrow and another $100.00. One more to go and I'm done!!! |

I personally think it was my lack of aligning everything back up perfectly. |

Is this "goodwil" repair have something to do w/ a TSB or unspoken extended warranty deal due to high failure rate or just something w/ your dealer? |

I don't know the exact details of the program, but being a known problem has something to do with it. Being a repeat customer and having bought three vehicles in the last five years at their dealership may also have something to do with it. I've finally started to learn late in life, being polite and asking for assistance works wonders rather than going in and ranting about what a piece of crap something is etc. Like Beth always tells me, "you catch more flies with sugar than you do with vinegar". For now, all I know is my dealer fixed three windows for $100.00 each when they broke. One more to go and I'm done. Yes, they fixed it per the TSB with a newer designed part and the window glass also had to be changed per the TSB. I'll get with my service writer next week and get more details on the program. |
