Hi guys. I need rear rotors for my '03 Liberty. I'm not interested in cross drilled, sloted ect. So what is the best replacement rotor?

Thanks

Best rotors are Napa rotors.

I wasted money on slot rotors and they were useless once they warped. I then went back to mopar rotors even though they are a rip off.

stay away from cross drilled - they will crack on you. Unless you are planning on spending alot of money on them.

I just want it to stop, with out a monster vibration from the rear. This whole thing kills me. I'm an old fart. I'm used to front brakes wearing out way before the rear. My Liberty only has 72k on it. The fronts have been turned only one time and all is well (still with the OE pads). I start to feel a nasty pulsation/vibration from the rear. There are small, flatish chunks missing from the rotors. WTF?

My 1991 Ram went slightly over 150k on its first set of shoes on the rear end. My 2001 has 90k on the front with out as much as a shimmy. The rears will out live me.

So what's up with the Liberty rear brakes?

(sorry about the rant.. I must say that I'm pissed)

OBX,

The Liberty rotors warp so much faster because of the weight of the KJ and the small size of the braking system. I fully understand that the KJ's brakes are adequate enough for DD purposes but a 11" rotor can only hold so much heat.

that's why I went with Powerslot rotors and ceramic pads when I put on the Moabs and MTR's. every little bit helps to slow that pig down!

Liberty seems to put a lot of braking on the rear brakes. My rears are wearing out much faster than the front, ill probably end up replacing the rotors before the pads wear out on the front. If the rears are warped dont try to get them machined, just replace them.

Hmmm, I replaced two sets of front pads before I did the rears....guess every case is different. I tow a lot.
