hey everyone..

so when i got into my jeep today, when i turned the wheel hard, there was a loud whinning sound that occured everytime i turned... it was so loud that it even drowned out the radio when it was on... i pulled over and opened the hood, and procedded to turn the wheen when the hood was open.. realized it was probably my power steering... anyway i checked my power steering level and it was a lil low. been having a slow lea... i added some and the sound went away.

my question is this a normal sound when you have low p/s fluid?

thanks

Yep normal in every car/truck/jeep

I had a very small leak for about 4 years ago and I used Mopar leak stop PS fluid. It stoped for like 4 years and last week I checked my PS fluid and it was about 1 inch below the fill cap line. So I added more PS fluid and yesterday it was EMPTY! and today my PS pump is making a slight grinding noise. Looks like time for a new PS pump!!!!!!!

My KJ getting old. seems like I am replacing parts every 2 weeks. And they are not cheap parts......
