A good set of tires will cost more then $500 same with a good lift. You could get a budget lift for under $500 but is that they way you want to go? I would say save it until you have a few more bucks then get exactly what you want. Don't sacrifice just because you have it and want to spend it. |

well said Mike could buy some larger almost new tires for 260 or so ( see me for details) and then be about half way to a OME/ Rancho lift . Hang onto it and shop around for slightly used parts |

The perfect amount of money to open a new account at the bank with and get into the habit of dumpin a few bucks a week(if ya get paid weekly) into it and name it your Jeep parts saving account. |

buy an aussie locker for the rearend and new lube to fill it up with. that way you can crank some mean donuts in the winter and it will be a all around better performing jeep in the snow/slick conditions. plus if you do wheel your stock liberty it will make it 1000 times better! or if you still owe money on your jeep use it on that. sooner it's paid off.. sooner you can SFA it! |

every time i buy something i break a dollar... throw my change in the cup holder of the KJ.. when the change gets up to the slot i transfer it into a polar water jug in my house. it REALLY adds up! that's another method of jeep parts savings haha. i'd still spend your $500 on an aussie |

Take the 500 bucks, put it away save and save, get yourself a Detroit Locker for the rear to start( less $$ than ARB) now when its in you are ahead of the pack, even without a lift you will go further that people with a lift and no lockers. Oh and just from my personal opinion, stay away from lunch box lockers |

I got my general grabbers for 95.95 a tire, so you can get some pretty good tires for under $500! I would agree with most the others, save it for a lift! That is what I am doing! |

you still need the gas tank skid and a roof rack wouldn't hurt either. Neoprene seat covers and floor liners come to mind as well. All sorts of misc. stuff to spend $500. |

I would go for the gas tank skid for sure...I don't care for driving down the highway much less offroading with a plastic tank exposed. My parents had a gas tank get puntured while driving down I-95 outside Washington DC in a bumper to bumper multiple lane situation where a piece of junk flew up and hit the underside of the Dodge Grand Caravan. It puntured the gas tank and they had to get towed and have it replaced. So for me the first skid was the gas tank skid.... |

Yeah, I think they are right, you're going to want a gas tank skid before anything else. I'd say your next goal should be tires, but you'll want the lift first, so save the rest for a lift. Locker would be nice but I think tires are pretty important. But yeah a busted gastank is expensive and kinda makes it hard to drive... C'mon over to Muncie and I'll give you free installation |
