I found this website, Guy in SoCal making pop top campers for the Honda Element.

Also a TruckTrend article

The basic camper is $4400 plus install. Anyone interested in something like this?

I'd prefer a trailer with a popup tent.

My idea was to pull the KJ behind a motorhome. The KJ would be self contained little camper for side trips off the beaten path.

I'd like to have one of those. But its a wee bit too expensive.

not really that expensive, a good RTT costs 3000 or better. There was a whole discussion over on Expedition Portal on adapting something like this to a JK.

Trailer with a Tent is the way to go.

Great idea but for me, I would not want to lose my front Reny lights and I want to make mine a convertible with roll bars.

I'd reather get a tent camper trailer and if I need a tent carry a small one or get one of those roof top tents you can put up on yor roof but you have to have a steel roof rack, ARB sells them.

We found the Ecamper after we had just bought a passat and if we had seen it first we would have a Element right now. I personally would love one for the liberty. I would like a little lower price, but I would pay for quality. I live in the area so if there is a need for a test vehicle....

If you had a KK with a sky crapper, it would be easy to do...

As for me, I'll stick with my rack since it has already saved my arse once.....
