U Joints suck to replace and it was no fun... I am sick and the bolts were freaking lock tighted into the holes.. WHAT THE HELL it took me and my dad both over and hour just to get the 4 bolts off HAHA....but the clunking is gone thats all that matters |

Are you referring to the bolts on the DS? I didn't remove those, just the pins that hold the U joint then pounded out the joint. Drive alot better now I bet. |

Yes she is driving AWESOME......Feels a lil weird because I have only driven it since it has been bad and now that everything is tight and working right it feels weird to drive cuz I dont hear clunk clunk clunk everytime I pull up to stop or I am just cruising...next up I think Ima try and do my rotors and that is easy just a pain cuz it has that HUGE bolt to take off and its just an extra step we didnt wanna have to do |

Huge bolt to take off?? Are you talking about the front? If so only need to remove the caliper and the mounting bracket and R&R the rotor. No huge bolt to take off |

Hey I think I might have found my problem. Did they clank when you let off the gas and also when you pressed on the brake? I have the same noise when coasting or stopping... never when Im giving it gas. Other than the bolts how did the work go? |

Juts took us forever to get the 4 bolts off (someone used lock tight)and then you gotta clip the metal clippy thing off and take the boot off other end... then we took it to the garage and hammered out the ujoint and replaced it back in and ruined one cuz the pins are VERY SENSITIVE.... after that you just put it back in and your good to go....oh and my dad used tape to remember how it goes back in cuz you have to put it back on the exact way it came off....pretty simple actually.,... just took us forever to use wrenches and sockets not air tools to take the 4 bolts off and we were both dead sick and weak and tired and it was COLD..... |
