Basically would need to remove the wheels, brakes, knuckle, lift , including tie rod ends, sway bar and that big old nut on the end of the CV Now I suppose you want a list of the exact sizes of sockets/ wrenches ? |

Now I suppose you want a list of the exact sizes of sockets/ wrenches ? what, what, what? be easier to just abandon it in the woods and report it stolen! |

you don't really have to remove the knuckle, lift, disk, rotor, tie rod. You can remove the remove the big ole nut and swing the entire knuckle forward supporting it with a jack to pull the CV out after removing the clevis. Look in the how to section for replacing the cv boot and that would pretty much be the same procedure and save a lot of time(tools) vs what tommy said. Not to step on toes tom boy |

Makes it a whole lot easier and you don't have to worry about tearing boots etc. I have done it both ways but for 5 more minutes time its worth it! jeep4me boy |

I was under the impression that, in order to do this correctly and ensure no further damage, you needed to pull both CV's, plug the front diff, and pull the front driveshaft... ...this would also allow you to get off the trail in 2-LO if I didn't just overlook something (very possible) |

I like this idea better, but what if you blow the front diff? |
