Is it possible to replace the LED in the defroster button? I pushed it last night and the light went out as soon as it came on. I was afraid that I was shorting somewhere again but the reverse lights and turn signals still work, much to my relief! It's just weird that all of a sudden that light would burn out. I know the defroster itself still works becasue I can hear the relay switching in the dash each time I hit the button. I only want to fix it so I know if it's on or off. That and I'm really anal about details and everything functioning as it should - call me crazy... |

No..... now you may have a problem with the defroster. Just because you can hear the relay doesn't mean that it isn't turning off right away..... |

Well, it does make two distinctly different clicks when I turn it on and turn it off. When I turn it on it goes *click-CLICK* and when I turn it off its a little softer of a *CLICK-click*. This is why I believe it's still functioning properly and it did defrost the window when I turned it on the other night. |

Yes. I just want to replace the light. Do I need a new button, or can I replace the LED? |
