Agree with the Jeep models, but not sure about the Dakota and Sebring. That Alfa is interesting. Now for an Alfa 2-seater convertible (Spyder?). |

I've been saying I think Jeep needs to bring back a pickup. I'm thinking they would sell. |

I too think it is a very bad idea to dump the small pickup line. They should keep it and stick a small diesel in as an option. I agree with the Jeep models, but disagree with axing the Patriot. The Patriot just needs to be moved to some other line besides Jeep. I would drop the Dodge Nitro (POS that it is-- all the disadvantages of a car and all the disadvantages of a Jeep-- in one inconvenient ugly vehicle) and slide the Patriot into the Dodge line to take its place as a real CUV, because that Journey is a joke. The Patriot does sell and the new interior in the 2009+ models looks mighty sharp. Glad the Sebring is gone, also glad the Avenger is gone. The styling on those vehicles was just barftastic. I still wonder if Chrysler is going to survive. Part of me hopes they don't and they sell Jeep to someone with a clue (like ex-employee's and customers, like Harley did in the 80's). |

not sure about that, i mean, the H3 pick up didn't sell and its because it was an H3, if Jeep made one, it would not sell because it is a Jeep...real pick-ups are the only ones that should even be made/sold... and that Alfa Romeo looks awesome! |

and killing the Viper is sad:( I think every brand should have one uber exciting, super fast, tire smoking hard to attain vehicle in the line up.... |

Ditto on the Jeep pickup for me, I'd be on that like a wet t-shirt. Especially if it had a diesel! Mmmmm.... But something tells me if they're killing the Dakota that we shouldn't be looking for any new pickups. With the exception of the Dakota, I think they're just cutting the dead weight that really needed to be cut. It remains to be seen how those weird looking Fiats will do in the US. Too bad, the Dakota was just starting to get decent styling. |

That would do something for the Jeep lineup, but I don't know about the diesel. Except for some hardcore diesel fans, do you think a diesel will really sell to the overall market? I don't think so, and in these lean times when Chrysler is cutting back... I don't think they could afford to build, sell and maintain it as a profitable option. But hey, what do I know... |

The viper being dropped bugs me. I've always said I'd never buy a foreign car except for maybe a Porsche or a Ferrari if I ever had the means. The Viper was the car that I'd drive instead of one of those. Now what are we left with, the corvette? Maybe the Tesla Roadster will hit full stride and take its place.... I like the roar of a big gas engine, but a silent trip from 0-60 in under 4 seconds would be kind of awesome too... |

Like I said...it probably won't happen. |

Steve - Jeep once made a real pickup and could do so again. That pic Neatus submitted would sell a lot of pickups. But IMO, there's one major problem with all of this.... Chrysler. I wish someone (American) would rescue Jeep. |

How about the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500? Awesome vehicle made by a pro with a solid track record. Ford would probably do right by Jeep, also. (O.K., so I'm a Ford man) |

I like the roar of a big gas engine, but a silent trip from 0-60 in under 4 seconds would be kind of awesome too... From Fiat's perspective, they don't need Viper-- because they own both Dodge and Ferrari and they don't want to compete with themselves. The reality of it is that Viper owners were not cross shopping Ferrari's-- and vice versa. |
