I couldn't locate this through the search function so I shall just ask it. Of the people that have used either Amsoil or Mobil1 gear oils have you noticed a difference in the way it makes the gears sound? Meaning if you had a noisey differential or transfer case did it decrease the noise(s) it made? |

I have not noticed any change in diff sound. I have a slightly noisy rear gear set that sounds the same since it was set up. I have run 75w110 and 75w140 Amsoil gear oils in it w/ no change. |

I run Amsoil in all my differentials and transfer cases, there is no differences in sound. The only thing you gain with Amsoil is better protection, longer interval changes, and a “theoretical” fuel increase. |
