3.55, 3.73, and 4.11 are it ( last time I checked) due to the longer pinion shaft on the D30A. |

If money were not a huge concern, you might be able to put your own set together. If say the 4.11 used a 10-spline pinion & 41 ring teeth, and the a regular D30 3.90/3.91 set used a 10 spline pinion and a 39 tooth ring gear, you could theoritically purchase both gear seats and use the pinion for the D30a, and the ring from the other, to make a custom gear ratio. As long as you could get a matching rear, you would be set???? I have not checked tooth count, but is what I am SWAGing remotely possible if the pinion is the only difference? |

If you have the 3.55 rear then a 3.73 will be perfect for the bigger tires and remain perfectly highway/street friendly. Just my $.02. |

Buy a KK Really? Why? Does it have a horribly underpowered/high-revving engine, a huge ego and expectation for towing/wheeling, or is it just a coincidence that those are available? |

The d30m uses the same gear set as a JK wrangler and with crazy ZJ guys out there, there are 4.88's for them since they also run the 8.25 |

i run 3.73, and still feel a little lack of power and torque. also i think 4.88 its to much for d30, thats gear for a d44 min. |

I really need to find out what I have. all kj made for mexico, has same gears and trany, 3.73 and 4 speed AUT, the diference its only in the transfer, as you know, comandtrac and selectrac. we didnt have the pleasure to have CRD, 5 AUT, 6 MANUAL.. |

Ahh that is unfortunate. Sadly Jeep is an American company yet we don't get the cool diesel jeeps Europe is enjoying, I hate how the Americas get screwed out of the nicer models. |

i think europe got a lot of CRD its because crazy prices ,on gasoline. a sister lived in spain, and told that most of the cars in madrid were disel. only "wealthy" people can get a gas car. another reason i think is that, here in mexico were of the culture of having disel for DD. dealers started to sell diesel cars in this decade, and its a growing market in exponential way: dodge ram cummins, ford f-350 navistar, GM doesnt sell diesel cars. anothers are, VW jetta, MITSUBISHI L200(small truck). cant find another one. |

Yeah I wish that would happen here, Id love to be getting the fuel mileage and have more power. Back on topic though are you going with the 4.10s or sticking with the 3.73s? |

as i said, 4.10 its to much for DD and 30.7 tires.. i'll stick with 3.73, until somebody come with a big idea. i went to the beach this weekend and drove 1 hr @ 75MPH. i felt lack of power in small hills were the engine had to use the "passin gear" to mantaine cruisin speed. |

here's my .02, If you were running stock size tires then 4.10 gears would be too much for DD, but running larger tires, the lower gear ration tends to help even it out a little bit. I know lots of the Ohio guys are running 4.10's and none of them have any complaints, and they are all DD if I remember correctly. |
