Okay, I give up before I break something!! What's the secret to puling out the driver's side tail light assembly to change a bulb after removing the two torx screws?? For the life of me I can't get it to break free. Thanks |

LOL... If I pull any harder it feels like something is going to break. It's hanging up on the left side.... |

Take a flat screwdriver and a rag or piece of cardboard to protect the paint and pry it off at the retainer pins. Odds are the upper one will crack off, though. |

Just pull it straight out. I thought it was going to break the first time I did this too. In my case, it didn't break. |

Is it coming out of the retaining sockets? And just hanging up somehow "on the left"? |

Case closed!! Hey guys, thanks for your comments!! After I first posted above, I decided to take a Sunday afternoon nap and sleep on it. When I got up I read your replies and went back to the garage with a crowbar and a towel to rip it out. J/K... anyway, as suggested I just pulled like crazy. It took some big tugs, but it finally popped free. No broken plastic retainers. I changed the bulb and reinstalled the lens assembly. It works as advertised!! |

Does anyone happen to know the size of the torx-head screws used on the taillights? Mine is missing one. |

Before you need to replace the tail light bulbs next time, go to Harbor Freight (store or on-line) and pick-up a cheap set of plastic prybars used to remove interior panels then use one of the wide ones toward the top side and bottom side of the rear lens to pry it off as you pull. This works a lot better than anything else I have tried and doesn't mar the paint. |
