Upgrade to new forum Friday night Dec. 18-19

Attention all forum members! We will be upgrading to the new, long-awaited phpBB3 forum this weekend!

The upgrade will begin at 12am EST (0500 UTC) and should be complete by 8am (1300 UTC) on Saturday. Please note that during this time the forum will not be accessible, and when you visit the new forum for the first time you will need to log in with your current user name and password. All of the posts, tech info etc will migrate directly to the new forum; from a general user perspective the only change you should see is a different layout.

Here is a sample view of the new forum style:

If you cannot remember your password or have other issues when trying to access the new forum please make note of the following e-mail address: lostkj10<_at_>yahoo.com (y'all know what to do there in the middle, right?

We will be checking this account on a regular basis so that we can try and get anyone who has problems back up and running.

In the old boards I had 100 +... the inbox didn't care if was overflowing... came in this morning and had to delete a bunch to view new pm's =/

After posting to see how it would look - I don't like the Lifer icon over the avatar. It looked better the other way. Not a big deal.

I'm with a few others, need to have another skin. While you're at it, fix the very left column... some stick 1/3 the way out in the message body. One other thing, is there a way to hide the smilies on the left side and the font colors on the right side when your making a post?? Maybe put them under the edit or preview mode.

Unfortunately that is not possible. It's not something you can change with the skin - it's actually part of the setup of the main board. I think you will get used to it as time goes on.
