Dont really know ho else to describe it... but when I am driving I can feel play in the steering wheel while turning. i can begin to turn the steering wheel before the wheels start to turn. The problem occurs the most in right hand turns and while straightening the wheels back from the right hand turn, there will be play in the steering before the steering wheel goes back to center. Also, when i turn right and begin to straighten out, the steering wheel will stay cocked at a slight angle to the right even while i am traveling in a straight line. Until I take a left turn or jerk the wheel slghtly to the left, it will straighten out. I have recently found out that my passanger side upper ball joint is going bad and also have a slight powersteering leak from a bad o-ring on the high pressure line where the hose meets the rack. As well as a very small leak from the ps rack itself where the inner tie rod goes into the rack. Could one of these be the culprit? Everythig seems to be tight other than that... Unless I am forgetting to check something? The problem seems to be getting worse in the past week and beginning to worry me.

Thanks for all the help :5SHOTS:

Did you check the rack bushings? I've seen racks break around the bushings too, check that also.

I had just recently swapped my rack for one I had got from tjkj. Put in new bushings at the same time. I will take a closer look at the rack.. Is it possible that it could be the Upper ball joint? I will be putting in my ne RRO arms (with any luck) this weekend.

DOOHHH!!! :banghead:
Looks like i may have over looked one of the bolts holding the powersteering to the frame. Was pretty loose Sure I had checked everything before, guess not. Gave me a good chace to go over everything again and I know everything is tight. Also threw come stop leak in the ps and hopefully will be good to go. Thank the lord I didnt have a crack in the rack itself. Thanks for the advice anyay JJ.

Yer tellin me, I had a good laugh when I noticed how loose the bolt was. Pretty dangerous I am sure, and stoopid of me to have overlooked. The bushings must have settled in a little, sure they were good and tight when I swapped the rack. :SOMBRERO:
