| Post subject: | Squeaky Shocks |
I just recently installed my lift, and it came with Doetschtech (spell check) Shocks. I notice a pretty large amount of squeaking comming from the rear when I go over bumps. It is deffinatly sqeaking, and not the compression noise that a normal shock makes. Any ideas? Does anyone have this problem? |

Check your shock bolts. Retighten if you have to. |

Did you use the bolt sleeves? There should have been an assortment of metal bolt sleeves supplied with the shocks. You have to cut the longest pair down to fit the width of the upper shock mount. |

darn, the guy who installed my lift didn't give me anything back. So i dont have any of those sleeves. He told me when I originally picked up the Jeep that when he took it for a test drive he heard squeaking comming from the rear, and that he had to add a washer to the bolt. And that it went away.......... |

(assuming the sleeve's are installed) You can apply some grease to the bushings to prevent them from squeaking. |
