Post subject:  Electrical question

Today, I plugged a little 12v heater (one of those used to quickly defrost a window) and it ran for a few minutes then quit. I've ran this little heater before in both my minivan and RV and it ran for longer periods. After I plugged it in, I went to the back to clean up the windows and stuff when I noticed a few minutes later, the heater wasn't running. I figured maybe it just shut off (thermal overload?). So, I unplugged the heater and plugged it back up. Nothing. I got out the radar detector, plugged it in. Nothing. OK.. I sit back to think.. What the heck. I popped open the fuse cover, check socket 1 and 16 (front power and lighter fuse). I don't have the "smokers package" so I assumed the power outlet (front) was the same as the lighter socket. Fuses were good eventhough the owners manual says slot 1 has a 20amp fuse. It had a 15. No biggy. It wasn't blown. Did I miss a fuse? Everything else works (including the rear outlet) but the outless under the heater controls (power or ligther, what ever it REALLY is) has no power.

Fuseable link?
Missed fused?

Any ideas before I take it in to the dealer?

You may be looking for the wrong fuse. My OM is wrong about where the fuses are, ive never figured that one out? i blew a park light fuse one and and had to take almost all them out to find the right one.

Yeah, I was think that but thought I would ask before I started yanking and pulling.. With all the "electgronics" onboard.. I would hate to pull the wrong fuse and "erase" the jeeps memory or put it back to "factory default".. Geez.. sounds like I'm describing my PC..
