I'm making a front skid to cover from my mopar front skid to my radiator support thing. There are 4 threaded holes in the bottom of that radiator support, which look to be for about a 6mm or 8mm bolt. Does anyone know what size they are and what thread size? Mine are rusted so trying different bolts will result in really tough threading either way, and tapping will be firm too. I want to re-tap them and don't want to jack up the threads. Also, what are they for? My skid also has two nuts welded to the front which would be good mounts for this front skid. Do they have a known intended use? I've never seen a mopar skid for this area before, but it sure looks like they've put provisions in place for it. |

I never checked the size just used the bolts that were there,or came with the ARB , can't remember which also not all front skids have the nuts where yours does so if making some for retail keep that in mind |

The ARB attaches to the bottom of the radiator support? Mine just has open threaded holes, no bolts came with it I don't think. Any idea what they are there for? Thanks for the tip on the nuts on the engine skids. I wonder why they added them. Doubt they'd put them there just because people often cover in front of them but you never know. |

Hmm, I looked at ARB's installation instructions & mopar parts lists to try to find what was mounted there. Didn't find anything in mopar, but the ARB had an air deflector mounting there, with the "stock bolts". Mine has no stock bolts, if they were once there they aren't anymore. Anyone know what was mounted there or what its used for? That would give me a start to finding these bolts in the mopar parts catalog. |

Yes the ARB has a flat piece of metal running under there for a air dam doesn't support anything really. I can't remember if there was anything there before or not? Been way too long since I swapped the ARB on there! Sorry no help at all |

boiler bought my jeep new and the were no bolts on the rad. support. I noticed that too when I was making my front skid. Another chrysler engineering mystery |
