Will a 05 Renegade bumper cover fit on a 05 Liberty Sport? I need a cover for my Libby and was exploring other options..

as long as it wasn't one of those models where the grill was different or something , but i think that was mainly hoods versus grills

in other words.. yes it should work for you just fine

Yeah, it's molded in, typically if no fog lights came with it, they install those plastic venty looking covers in the hole, so all holes should be there including the slot for the wiring to protrude

worst case you may need to get the harness that goes from the fog lights to the intermediate lightning harness behind the fascia but that shouldn't be a problem at all

Thanks for the information...I really like the look of the silver metalic paint on the bottom of the bumper (only on Renegades). Is this a seperate part or is it just painted?

It's just painted

there was an aussie jeep that built a front bumper that had an aluminum piece that came through the center that sort of simulated the same thing but in a metal way, looked really sweet, actually i think the entire bumper was fabbed out of aluminum, but anyway

but yeah it's just painted

JeepinJarhead:

He's referring to the bumper on '05 Sports and Renegades. '05 Sports have the fog lights in the grille, '05 Renegades have them mounted to the top of the bumper. I'm not 100% sure, but I do believe the bumper cover has the mounting holes molded into it on the Renegades.

The silver part on the bottom is also part of that bumper I believe.

it's all just plastic. it will work on an 05 non renegade but there will be 2 square holes in the top of the bumper from the renny foglights.

I just went through replacing my factory 06 Renegade bumper.
There are two molded holes in the top of the bumper for the fog lights to attach.
Also the holes are cut out for the tow hooks.
The silver piece is something extra that is attached with 3m tape.
It is just a piece of plastic painted silver. I think it cost like $120 though. another words, if you buy a replacemnt Renegade bumper from the dealership it will not come with that plastice silver trim.

Hmm, guess I should have disassembled my bumper and sold the silver trim to this guy, instead of cutting it off. :x

never noticed on mine that it was an extra piece but the guys with your model would know better than i would

if i were you i wouldn't worry about the piece, for 100 bucks a body shop would probably paint the entire thing for you and paint the silver in
