Any tips or tricks? My drills (both of them) died last night so I couldnt install the rack, so I am now rethinking what I chose to mount the rack to the rails and what better time to re-think something then while at work. I have 1/4in u bolts currently and I am worried they may not be enough. What did you guys use to mount yours and what were your hole measurements? Thanks!

just drilled 4 holes in my stock sport rails, no those did not come with my renny, sold mine and bought these for cheap.
then ground off the edges so the washers fir in the aluminum bars and tighten them down. it has been great on the highway, drove 152 miles today and checked it every now and then and no problems at all!

I just used the 1/4in U bolts since I couldn't find any 5/16th. The rack is on and its on TIGHT! I don't know why I was worrying because it feels rock solid. My buddy came over with his drill and it was 15min and I had it on! Oh and I got sport rails too, got a great deal from a fellow Lost jeeper and they were line X'd too! So happy! Here are some pics:

It is so nice to finally see things I have wanted for the Jeep for over a year finally get put on! This winter has been a blessing for my Jeep but a curse for me. :grim:
