Post subject:  Sport Renegade?
Take a look at this Libby. Listing says it is a Sport but it has the Renny light bar. But no fogs on the front? Haven't seen one set up like that. Maybe the previous owner added the light bar?

p.s. Didn't see anything about it being a diesel either in the listing.

When I was Libby hunting I saw a couple set up like this,

one was a black 2006, 3.7l with a manual tranny.

a khaki CRD, i cant remember what year 05 I think

and one more '06, red with an automatic tranny, 3.7l

They didn't make CRD Renegades, only Sports and Limiteds. So it is a Sport.

And a rip off at that. 90k miles, stained seats, no options, should go for more like $10-11k, at most, IMO.

X2 on ripoff alert.

mine had 60K brand new tires and synthetic Oil.

it is an '06, so the mileage was a little 'higher than average'

back seat had never even been sat in or folded down, one owner vehicle, all highway miles. no scratches or rust. basically looked showroom fresh.

I got It out the door for 10k, tax and title. talked them down from 11,770 due to it having higher mileage (even though all the oil changes and required maintenance records were in the glove box, and all were performed on time or earlier). and It helped that I gave them a nice big chunk of cash up front.

I'm not sure what mileage is appropriate for an 06 CRD Liberty or if the US asking price is accurate.
I do know that from the VIN that it is indeed a CRD Liberty Sport not a Renegade; http://jeep.avtograd.ru/VIN/vin_en.asp

Myself I'd like to have a CRD Liberty with the towing package and a Renegade lightbar as long as the lightbar was properly installed and not a hack job. I'd like to know what transfer case it has.

Not true,the Renny was a stand alone trim level that was not a Limited or a Sport.

Right, it was in between... but CRDs are all either Sport or Limited.

Tony is likely correct there is a CRD renagade. That jeep was posted in member intros. Jeep sells mostly diesel overseas so of course the renagade would have a diesel engine there.

I seen some place on the internet that you could buy to the light bar and add it to any Liberty for $400 -$500 dollars. the craigs list jeep is a Sport. the hood on the sports and limiteds is curved around the headlights the Renagade is flat.

Maybe it's a European thing? I wouldn't put it past Chrysler to give y'all CRDs at all three trim levels and us CRDs at just the two. :dizzy:

I could be wrong... I just remember reading that there was no Renegade CRD (in the U.S.) when I was researching this vehicle over the summer.

It's a Sport with the light bar added later. Probably stuck the fog lights in later as well.

Rene's DO have a curved hood over the headlights prior to 2005, so the curved hood on this 2005 is a dead giveaway. Can also tell it's a Sport because it has no front tow hooks, no Renegade badge on the side, no tube side steps, no graphite wheels, and no "bolted on" fender flares.

And, from my experience shopping for Libby's last year, St. Louis had the highest prices anywhere around us. Chicago dealers were pricing more reasonably, which shocked the bejesus out of me.

Rocky Mountain Edition also had the flat that hood the Renagade does, not sure what options came with that version. I have only seen one Rocky Mtn. it had no light bar and was a 3.7L gasser
