These are made for the Wrangler...of course...plus they are expensive! Maybe somebody on here could play around with this idea and come up with something that would work on the KJ. Here is their site: http://www.deltalights.com/ ![]() I kind of like the idea because you can light up the trail without having anything sticking up higher than your roof. How far ahead it will light the trail I don't know. Terry |

I'd rather have lights on top of the roof rather than have something blocking LOS of the trail. |

If they're up near the cowl they will be out of the LOS. |

I would think you would get a lot of glare off the hood. Mount your lights up high looking over the hood, and or on the bumper.

Have you put anything on your cowl? We don't have a space below the windshield like the Wranglers do... a hi-lift setting on a KJ hood is in your line of sight. You also have hood glare to contend with... and the fact that it's impossible to light up anything near you with a hood bar. The shadow cast by the hood and fenders would block a lot f the area you really want supplemental light to be.... I'd stick with the roof and/or bumper. |

Here is an idea: ![]() It's a stainless steel bathroom grab bar that is 36" long for $45.00. Mount the lights running the wires inside of the tube, down through the middle leg support. No wires visible and it won't rust. They come in different lengths and the price varries a lot. Terry |

Hmm, I think tonight I'm going to take my huge spot light and put it on my hood and see what the glare is like. I think I might also have a bar that could possibly be used in my shed somewhere or in the garage. |

I agree that the glare from the hood would be pretty strong. I have a Renegade with the lights on the roof and I already get a glare (strong one if it's clean |

One way to find out is put the lights on a 2X4, put it on the hood and light it up. Terry |
