the bullbars don't stand up to much, but as for that type thing short of a aftermarket steel bumper, i want to say mopar makes a bar/grill guard that comes up the front and branches out and encircles the headlights, it's black |

A bull bar is good for looks and pushing some things around but doesn't help you if you plan to do anything off-road. A proper aftermarket bumper will provide you with better approach angle. It also can handle slamming into rocks or trees better. You can also get a bumper that you can add a winch to it. If you have no plans to go hit the trails, then a bull bar is okay. |

I like the look of bull bars too but its mostly for looks... it might intimidate pooky comuters some. If you want a good aftermarket bumper look at ARB, they are about $1100 for the 05-06 KJ not sure of the price for 04.. but you can add a winch and it looks so tough you dont need any bull bar. Another option that will cost less is Rock lizard, a member here that makes bumpers. He is soon getting out of the business so you need to order from him soon if you want one of his designs. |
