I have an oil leak at the back passengers side of the engine. Looks to be coming from the gasket. [color=#FFFF00]In the picture, is the head gasket working its way out???[/color]
Anyone had the HG replaced? Cost?

I'm inches away from parting out and getting a used Ram 1500 Hemi

It looks like the oil is leaking from above the head gasket(I see the pics are upside down) and collecting on the head gasket,might want to check the valve cover gaskets(o-rings) or the exhaust manifold bolts.The head gasket is not coming out,it's thin steel plates for our 3.7's and not your normal crush style head gaskets.

The pics are right side up, and the piece sticking out is thin metal. So perhaps it is the gasket, but I will look into the valve cover gasket as well.

it would be impossible[highly unlikely] for head gasket to come out.
its held in place by the head bolts.
if it moved as much as picture shows you should be using gallons of coolant.
leaking oil is possible though clean with brake clean.
test drive and recheck.
