The other day I was inching up to a stop sign, or maybe rolling thru it I don't remember, and this pickup with a plow went right in front of my plowing the intersecting shoulder, past some guy wires and I hear this beaump! noise twice, and assumed it was something he did. It almost sounded like a guitar string popping in a cartoon or something. Like something sprung or became unsprung.

Well long story short, I heard it at slow speed again tonight, once. And that plow guy wasn't there, just me.

Can anyone start me on a wild goose chase? It does not seem very normal...

i think mine does that on occasion, like one of the brake pads on the front sticks then pops

i kinda figured it was a sticky caliper piston

How long do farting KJ's make their noise? I think mine is probably only 1/4 to 1/2 second. I almost would guess a belt or something was getting "strummed". Like a quick "boing" on something thats under tension.

And I too have no ABS so I know it is not that. Also it has been cold / snowy here if that matters.
