That's not a topic that needs to be brought up again. Try doing a forum search for the previous topics.

This one is a good starting point: Rock Krawler

If you actually wheel it, it will collapse the front end inward.

do a search for Fireblad1, He had it and went to crap and built a solid axle conversion to save his jeep. I know there were at least 2 others that had the same result, and one that had great results, but admitted he never wheels it and it was a show rig only and rarely drove it at all except on and off trailer at a show.

That company claims to have a lot of satisfied customers, but on here only the one said they were satisfied, and that was for looks only. They also claim to have tested it and had excellent results, but no one has ever seen it work off road, only the broken off road pics.

from what I have seen and my experience with cast metal (what our knucles are made of) their instructions tell you to drill them in a place that weakens the entire top of the knuckle and I am surprised none have broken there while someone was driving it. Also I do not think our rack and pinion steering could handle the huge tires off road, but I could be wrong.

Aside from the obvious mechanical inaptitude of this kit...I think it just looks like s**t anyway....all the chrome and BS...yuck.. sorry but double yuck

It actually looks pretty sweet in person...but RK won't even put it on a ramp, much less take it offroad. It's purely for show.

Fourwheeler magazine put the RK 7-up on a ramp and it got 700 (i could be wrong but I look for the mag when I get home to double check). 700 is respectible but I would expect more from a kit that costs this much...

sidebar from the RK re-discussion, but what's the point of all that extra lighting up front when you're putting tinted covers over the headlights? I mean if you want more light, how about not covering the primary source?

Rick
