Post subject:  HEADLIGHT Question

I installed a complete set of Sylvannia Silver Stars. The headlights, the turn signals and the foglights. I noticed that the headlight on my driver's side is brighter then the one on the left. I dont know if it's brighter, but when i parked in front of a wall the driver's side light seems to shine a little higher on the wall than the passenger side. Anyone else had this problem? Is there some way to do a headlight adjustment? Thanks.

read this thread and there are pictures on how to adjust the headlights to make them even. Also make sure the headlight is in properly. you probaly just didnt notice the difference before you installed the lights. I had to adjust mine they were a little uneven from the factory.

you need a star head screw driver and adjust the head light that is higher.
drive up to a wall at night and adjust them.
hope this helps
i just did this last week
you will love the silverstars

the way i adjust my headlights was taken out of old tech manual.always worked for me.pull up to a flat reflective surface ie. garage door or side of a building, about 1-2 foot away.then take black electerical tape and make a cross at the center of the light beam on both headlights.then back the vehicle back about 30 feet away, this of course being a flat level surface parallel with surface that you put the tape.adjust the beams so that they line up with the crosses of tape that you put on the reflective surface. put the low beam on the bottom side of the crosses and hopefully the high beam will go on the top side of the crosses. the black tape wont leave any residue on any surface,so you can use it anywhere.

Yea thanks a lot everyone for your help. BLANCK88...the star screw driver I do have at the house I notices that there is a screw towards the inside of the headlight casing that looks like it does absolutly nothing. It is a silver screw, is that the one you are saying i should adjust? I was gonna try that last night but figured I'd ask everyone here first. Thanks for your help.
