When you turn the switch you can hear it "engage" but it does not move an inch. However it DOES lock up the back completely so even if you unlock with the remote you cannot open the back glass or gate. Then you can release the back window from the remote and the gate will unlock too. This is a pavement pounder that she commutes with to her job at the mall.. it has never even so much as driven on the beach. Everything seems to operate normally, all the wiring is clean and still attached at all its points. Doesn't seem to have any rubbing on the wire and not a spec of dirt.

There is a park switch but my jobber cost on it from the dealer is 100.00 so I'm hoping someone can give me some direction from experience. As I said on disassembly and inspection everything seems to work normally.

Maybe unrelated but maybe not... we bought it with 60k on it and from day one the back glass rattled a little bit.

Thanks for any input.

Sorry, that one's kind of a stumper. Is the wiper arm loose? Meaning, can you you move it up and down? if so, it might be possible to tighten the arm. If nothing else, wait awhile, someone on here has probably had that problem before, and we're pretty good at helping each other. 8)

Also, if the glass rattles, maybe it is possible to adjust/tighten the latch which might resolve it.

Swings out from the window like normal but no movement whatsoever in an arc. It just sounds like the motor engages in just a single pop but the motor isn't moving. There has to be a safety that prevents the wiper from coming out of park when the glass is up. There are 2 connections with I believe 8-10 wires, but ZERO reference to it in the Chilton's and I don't have AllData. I guess this weekend I will try just jumping the motor directly.
