Ok, so I was perusing Ebay and had this sudden stroke of genius  (or maybe just a stroke :? ). Since ebay nicely lists a contact link for anyone that's bidding on an item, wouldn't it be easy to just send anyone bidding on Libby parts a "Come join us at lost." email? Or would this be in violation of some kind of ebay terms of service? We would not actually be soliciting anything for sale. I tried to weed through the legal stuff on the site  but gave up.

The alternative (and sneakier way) would be to send a potential buyer an email saying something like this:

"Hi there, I see u r bidding on xxx xxxxx. I was interested in something like that too. What's ure opinion on it? Oh, and by the way, have u ever heard of this Liberty Owner's Group called "lost" or something like that? I hear they are real knowledgeable about Libertys."

Whatta u think, genius or aneurism?

ok, 2 votes for "come up with something else".

Allthough I did find this on the Ebay site:
Quote:
Most private communication, including email correspondence, is not regulated by eBay. With this in mind, eBay policy is to encourage members to be courteous and respectful when sending email.

I am both of those.
and
Quote:
Spam is not permitted on eBay.

Spam is email that is both unsolicited and commercial in nature.

Unsolicited: The email has been sent without the permission of the person who received it

Commercial: The email discusses buying, selling or trading of goods or services

Since my post would be non commercial,
looks like by Ebay's standards what I discussed would actually be ok with them.

If only we could warn the innocent uneducated off-roaders who are dropping a couple hundred dollars on 3" spacer lifts that their CVs are gonna be toast...

Probly kinda spamish...

What about selling bumper stickers or tokens or something for real cheap? Then post the link there.
