I installed Thule surfboard racks on my '05 Renegade, but mine does not have the roof mounted light bar.
I can tell you this, the Thule's do sit fairly high, so it might work.....

We carry kayaks on my non Renegade Liberty all the time. (yakers= kayakers) We use a Yakama system with hully rollers which lets the boats slid on and off. Works well. I would assume boats would clear Renegade lights as the ends of the boats turn up. But check it out before buying. Also once you have a Yakama )or Thule) system you can carry anything with attachments: bikes, skis, basket for stuff, and we have a big pod. They do ride high so you will lose MPG but worth it.
