:pepper: My Rear Drivers window regulator has officially died, lol. I was at my father in laws removing the stock rear bumper, modifing the frame and a few other things earlier in the day. I head home to pick up my wife and when I tried to raise the window, no dice. :banghead:
Popped off the panel and made the mandatory adjustments and it is up right now. This morning I will be taking out the reg to make sure it is the "normal" problem and will go from there.
On a positive side, the bumper fab is moving along. It is currently very hillbilly since there is no real bumper yet but as it starts coming along I will post some pics.

Fun stuff, huh? Had my 2nd one go out about 2 months ago. It was winter so I didn't care and have just had it taped since then! Finally ordered a replacement this past week.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of this club. I had the same problem with my wifes Olds Alero, the nylon attachment from the motor to the track would break off.

Looks like I will need to read up on this issue now.

Now there is a few different regulator failures.

1-the failure that happens to '05+ KJ's,the plastic retainer breaks that holds the glass. Can be repaired.

2-the cable tube breaks, pulls out of motor, found more in older KJ's like the '02's,can not be repaired and a new regulator must be installed.

3-the rarest is the window switch or motor failure.

Thanks for the rundown. So it looks like I will be subject to problem #1 then, which sounds like the same problem the Aleros/Grand Ams/Malibus have.

Guess I will know more this weekend. I ordered one of those items from Steiger so we will see if that is the problem...although part of me doubts it, lol. I can hear the motor running when I flip the switch but we will see. When I first took the door apart I just noted where the window was and pulled it up.
I will keep you all posted. :)
