I was just checking it out for the...900th time and I noticed something new. LOL, the KJs tail lights. Does anyone know if those are actually made anywhere or like nearly everything else were special built for the one time and one time only? I was going to install some backup lights in my new bumper but if I could modify or change out the tail lights to have backups like that, I might not need to. Just curious. Also...is it 5 yet? I am ready to head home and play with my jeep

they always crush those type of vehicles and will never sell them. Too much liability. same with all the moded vehicles they used to do on "TRUCKS" After the show, they smashed em cause dodge, ford, gmc, ect would never sell a heavily modded truck to someone. If anything happened, the would be screwed. Thats why the old host of TRUCKS said he would not do any more shows that featured trucks from manufacturers specifically to show how you could mod them. Probablyl why he's gone too. |

I asked the service tech about contacting Jeep engineers about how they lifted the Liberty and kept the CV's the same as stock. He said I would have to talk to someone in Special Vehicles. This Friday, the 23rd., there is going to be someone from Jeep at the dealership so they are getting me a name and email address to see what I can find out. I'll post up anything I find out. Terry |

I've looked at this over and over... from what I can figure out is the cradle is dropped and moved forward about an inch... all non structural metal was cut out in the wheel wells... it appears that a taller knuckle was also used... the fender flares are also custom... with the rear, the axle was moved back 3 inches and replaced with a dana44... not sure if there was any modding needed with the gas tank, as when I looked at my kj, it seems the axle would hit the gas tank if moved back 3in... The rear wheel well seems pretty easy to modify towards the back side (or front side of rear bumper)... I would think that the front axle would have needed to be replaced also... i can't see running 35's on a d30a... it would also need new driveshafts due to the extended wheelbase... I don't see it beeing cheap, but I would expect it to be cheaper than jba's 6" lift kit Now this is what i have been able to gather just out of the few pictures available... obviously it can be done other ways... but this is MY GUESS |

Would it be possible relocating the rear axel back a few inches? I mean you would have to get longer control arms, and i wouldnt know what to do with the wishbone. And you would have to relocate where the top of the spring goes. And you would have to watch out for the gas tank. |

I've been trying to find more info on this build... and from what I have found... apparently they used spacers on the cv axles to lengthen them in order to maintain their stock like angles... someone explain to me (us) how this works... I think this is great, because many people are running into cv problems due to height... if this is possibly a way to fix the problem, it would be great to know more |

Here is the link http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/features/jeep/0610_4wd_2004_jeep_liberty_concept/index.html from looking at these pics it looks like it has a sizeable cradle drop on it. look at the area above the rack boot that is the cutout in the original location. the rest was a prototype superlift kit. idk what that consisted of. |

There are many threads on here about that build... front diff is a D44... knuckles are custom 1 -offs that would run in the $20k++ range to have reproduced. Custom cradle as well. |

Tail lights like all the rest custom, could make your own though and use 4 inch air craft landing lights. Yes they will fit |
