Front skid...
would it be alright... for alignment to still be done and still be able to do oil changes...
if I just made the skid follow the inner parts where the stock tow hooks go and bolt it to the radiator and front engine skid?

I made mine ( when Boiler was a wee lad  ) so that you can still get to the alignment bolts and everything real easy, I think you can see from this picture. I don't have any problems

Well you know I used to make fun of jeepster and others like 03CDkj ( Chris) for having pictures of everything! But people kept asking for a picture of this, that or something I had done or started/changed/invented or cut off  so yes I guess I have pics of almost all of it except where I sit! :ROTFL:

I don't think that he can get to the radiator with that front hitch on there.

After some of the rides i've taken in mine there have been times that came close to not wanting to show a pic of where my butt was. :ROTFL: Nothing that a little carpet shampoo and fabric dye won't take care of.

Those four bolt holes directly behind the wiring race (that is, in the radiator support) are where it attaches in the front, so you're golden.

You been four-wheelin in pink paint or something?

so I get my alignment checked every 3K and i need to know:
If I make a skid that goes across the front there, am I limited to just the length of the front skid, or can I go as far as I want?

I am guessing that the two bolts on the sides need to be able to be accessed for the alignment?
I have cut and started the bending of my prerunner skid, just need to make sure that It is not too long!

As long as they can get into the bolts its all good, I ran mine with the skid on the left side and then made it the same length on the other side to match
