Going to need something a little bit more than the D30A to run the portals, also have you looked at the price yet |

It might work OK with a steel front diff and SFA. I was just kiddin' around. |

It makes the entire unit stronger. Now if youre talking D30 tube wall strength then thats another thing. |

Those won't work with the IFS,only SFA. Oh and you can't use the HMMWV portals on a KJ either due to the 2 gear design. |

Why would they not work on a kj??? I mean a hwmmv is ifs and irs... but they use them.. what is the difference between the setup on one of them and a kj, well besides theirs is much more beefy?... just asking, because I would love to do the steel front diff and the portals... there is also a company that mmakes bolt on portals but they only work on solid axles... can't remember the name of the company... |

You could mod them and install the HMMWV portals in the front of a KJ,one problem is that they are a 2 gear design so the portal output spins backwards then the input does,so after blowing apart your t-case trying to go nowhere you'd understand. If you ever see a HMMWV drive forward and look at the CV axles they are actually spinning backwards to move forward. They use special modified AMC20 housing that spin in reverse to use the 2 gear portal design. You need the 3-4 gear design to work on any vehicle not properly modified to use a 2 gear design, plus the 3-4 gear desgin is alot more $$$ and far weaker then the 2 gear design, and I mean alot weaker also. |
