This may have been asked before, but my Jeep flashed "LoCool" at me this morning When I started it up. I just need to top it off; what brand of CORRECT coolant can I buy to just top it off?

You can also use the Amsoil Coolant

Actually you can't,the Amsoil coolant is propylene glycol, not suitable for your cooling system,or any cooling system in fact.

You can get the correct HOAT coolant at any Ford dealership also as they use HOAT also.

Here's the email I got from Amsoil:

"The recommendation from Chrysler about not using propylene glycol is based on their issues they have with HOAT chemistry not being mixed with certain antifreezes using OAT technology. The AMSOIL Antifreeze covers both types and is recommended for Chrysler applications, regardless of what Chrysler is stating. If you follow our recommendations with our antifreeze, and ever experienced a cooling system issue, the AMSOIL warranty is going to take effect.

We hope this is helpful.

I haven't dug around Chrysler's TSB's to deeply but I know Ford, who uses HOAT also, has a TSB strictly forbidding the use of propylene glycol(even if flushed properly) since it causes damage to the system and alloy heads.

I just bought some Prestone G-05 at NAPA. It was $13 or so and it was 100% anti-freeze and not a 50/50 mix like you get with the "mixes with all antifreeze" stuff that really is no good for our cooling systems. So if you have a NAPA near you check there.
