Got rear ended today. No one was hurt, but my spare tire is a little tilted. Worst case scenario my swing gate and spare wheel will have to be replaced...any idea of cost?

The 2010 Hyundai Sante Fe did not fare so well. She needs a new grille, hood and bumper.

Same thing happend to me a few months ago by a Honda minivan. $1724. New tailgate, painted, and they replaced the bumper cover and the black step pad. The bumper cover and step pad didnt look like they needed replaced on mine, but they did it anyway since it was covered under insurance. So if you are paying out of pocket and dont replace those 2 pieces, my guess is less than $1500 for a new lift gate and paint.

If you got rear ended wouldn't it be up to the Hyundai owner's insurance to cover all costs? Here in Alabama no matter what if you are rear ended it is the person who hit you's fault.

Same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago - can anyone recommend a decent replacement rear bumper that allows for factory towing?

I was rear ended by a Honda CRV a couple of years ago. Similar situation, spare bent a bit but the gate still worked. Repairs were around $2200.

The CRV was totalled! LOL It's front end looked like an accordian.

I LOVE MY RENNY!
