Hi all,

I have just bought a September 2005 2.8CRD auto Cherokee that has been very well kept. It has 121k and good service history.

It seems to drive well, but what it does is say I'm driving along at any speed, in 'normal' 2wd mode, if I take my foot off the gas completely it drops back to idle and freewheels. If I then put my foot back on the gas it picks up straight away.

Is this what they do or is there something wrong here?

Cheers!

Normal. At least that's what mine did before installing the GDE ECU and transmission tunes.

Does that service history include the timing belt job being done. You are not due the job based solely on miles but the consensus is the job should be done about every 6 years or 100k miles/160k kms whichever comes first never mind what the manual says.

PS you posted on the LOST KJ "general" forum. Most KJ CRD folks hang out on the LOST KJ CRD portion of the forum at viewforum.php?f=5

Note: also more noticeable when out of lockup (torque convertor). At speeds below 50 on mine when the trans is in 3rd?
