Hey everyone it's Friday! :D

anyway I was just wondering about the cruise control on my 2002 liberty . ( recently bought ) I noticed this the other day on my way to work and am now positive as Ive observed this the last couple of days when using my cruise control. When Ive got in on cruise and I go down a hill, ( very big hill ) I dont even have to step on the brakes to slow it down...it maintains my cruise setting ! I can feel what seems like the engine downshifting on its own. This may be old news to the rest of you however having owned many vehicles in the past including most recently my 02 dakota , Ive never had cruise control that maintains its speed even going downhill. What happens on my other rides is unless I apply brake pressure my vehicle will gain momentum from the hill and fly past the speed I had set. Anyway it was just a neat feature I discovered and thought I would share.

cheers

You don't need to when you're in cruise control, you just maintain the speed. If I needed to downshift, it better be Mount Washington I'm climbing!
