Aight I'm going to be installing a Audiovox AS-9075 Add-on remote starter. Got everything today in the mail, I've been looking at the install sheet for a few days now. I also have a haynes repair manual on the way that will be here next week some time. Few questions, anyone installed a add-on starter PM me and help me out where to find all the connections, also will I be able to find out where most of the connections are from the manual. Thanks guys |

I installed a Viper 5101 remote start/keyless entry in my 2003 Jeep Liberty. I might be able to help you with some of the connections and where to find them. |

Thanks guys You're not going to be able to install a remote start in a Jeep or and other modern vehicle without a security bypass... did you et one of those too? Is this in the right section? |

I was looking at the installation instructions for that model, here: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=446 Everything looks pretty simple. What bypass did you get, or are thinking of getting? |

Still looking around for the bypass. The ones I found use your 2nd key..which I don't have. |

How about this? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_107 ... UCH2X.html I'm running an Omege bypass in my '03 Liberty and it's worked flawlessly. No extra key required. |

Mine was a bit more challenging because it was the DB-CHDL4 model, which is a Sentry bypass & door lock interface. The IB-UCH2X probably wouldn't be that bad. I would email Omega and ask them to send you installation instructions for it before you purchase it. I've contacted them several times in the past and their support has always been great. They might even be able to recommend a different model suited better for your needs. Who knows? You can contact them here: http://www.caralarm.com/contact.html |
