I spoke with a shop today and got a 600.00 installation price on a Frankenlift. Does this sound accurate to you guys or is it high or low?

Thanks.

I could call it high considering it shouldn't take enough hours for install to warrant 600 bucks installation fee

Franks come pre-assembled, correct? that saves 30 minutes alone

Shouldn't take more than half an hour to do the rear, two hours to do the front R&R and that's pushing a long estimate

So unless they charge 200/hr it's off

I asked a local alignment shop how much they'ed charge for my front and rear R&R, plus coil assembly, plus alignment and it came up to about 425 or so which comes down to about 3 hours labor + alignment @ 95/hr

I'm not sure what the labor book lists for front and rear R&R but I'd bet it doesn't come up to 5 hours

Yeah, All-J Products, which makes the Frankenlift, charges $350 for install. $600 sounds steep.

3 hours max if they have tools, etc right there and know what they are doing.
kind of high even with figuring supplies, labor, insurance, gas to go get beer afterwards
I know shops have high over head but still..........
just wish I was closer to ya!

lol.. He could drive to ohio, pay you (Tom) 300 bucks to do the install, and drive back to Washington and still be in the green by a few hundred on a 600 dollar budget :P

$500 in NY for a Franky install. Just DIY. Save the coin for other upgrades.

I just got a quote here in Madison, WI and this shop was charging for 8 hours, cuz that's what the book told him (that included the UCA's at 2 hours EACH SIDE!) I said 1) it should only take 3-4 hours max and 2) if you already have everything apart for the lift, why would it take you 2 hours each for the UCA's. His response was, well it may only take another 15 min ea. then I'll only charge you that. Still, expensive. Thus I'll be going the DIY with the help of LOST members/ friends route!

He said that if it took less time he'd charge less, but the quote was $737!
