Post subject:  Steel front diff from JBA. Price?

Has anyone gotten a price from JBA for the steel front diff? I was thinking about just a refurbished empty unit. Id take care of the gear install. I was thinking about this and was wondering whether it was worth the cost. I like the idea of getting 4.56 gears. I like the idea of the added strength. If a person wanted a stronger front end but didnt want to incur the cost of a SFA is this a realistic option in the minds of you all?

Thank you.

$1500 seems like a lot but it eliminates a worrisome weak point on the KJ (not to say it would be bullet-proof though). I'd still not want to deal w/ stuffing anything larger than a 32" tire under an IFS KJ but at least you would have a little less to worry about when hard wheeling your KJ.

I agree. Just Be Aware that things can still break, the stress will just transfer to the next weak link in the line. There's been debate if this diff would be any stronger than the D30A but it does give you more gear options and is shiny red.
