Over the weekend I was under the hood of the KJ and noticed a pink crust on top of the radiator cap. Since I have Dex-Cool, I'm certain it's coolant. I'm just not sure how it got there. Should I replace my radiator cap? My coolant level is normal, and running temp is fine. |

Well if you have the DexCool in there good luck. That junk has caused problems all over if you read on the many forums. GM has even settled some law suits with people using it. DexCool is a OAT antifreeze where as the Jeeps, Fords and some others call for a HOAT like the Zerex G-05 I would have it flushed right away and install a new cap and see how it does. Did you install the DexCool? |

Yeah... Dex ain't Cool for a KJ... not even sure if we should be putting it into GM cars either but that's another story all together. |

OK. It's not Dex-Cool. My Pontiac is the first car I've owned with anything but green coolant. I didn't know there were so many different coolant colors. My KJ only has 40,000 miles on it, and I've had it since it was new. Should I flush it this soon, or just try a new radiator cap? |
