1st of all, yes I did search. And boy I am more lost than before. So, I'll make this easy on all you guys that like a certain kind of oil (synthetic vs dino.) What brand(s) would you recommend if I decided to run DINO oil? and What brand(s) would you recommend if I decided to run SYNTHETIC oil? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

Amsoil Severe Gear for Syn. Dino? I guess I'd go w/ whatever was available at my local retailer, maybe Castrol or Valvoline? |

All I know is that I can now verify for certain that the regular dino oil works better for me. I was using pure synthetic 75W140 per the owners manual, with 4 oz. of limited slip additive. I was getting an annoying popping and clunking sensation when rounding curves at slow speed. Now.. I'm using the cheapest dino oil that I could possibly buy off the shelf at Walmart.. like $4/qt. stuff.. and my rear end is silent and as smooth as butter. Get the regular dino oil from Walmart. Save the cash you'd waste on the "brand X synthetic" oil. |

I run Mobile Delevac Dino gear oil in both my axles...no additives since I don't have limited slip.... |
