Whats the best price
and where did you find it for new factory Cats.
So far
Trademotion 676.91 whole front system
JeepOEMparts 676.91 whole front system
Wholesale Mopar 644.93 whole front system
GlobalChrysler 648.97 whole front system
ChryslerPartsCenter 586.30 whole front system

Autopartswarehouse offers CATCO brand 297.40/ Walker 262.44, both just for drivers side

so really how much difference is there and will they not really work?

Heck man at those prices I would exhaust (no pun :jester: ) all the local junk yards before buying new if the used replacement is an acceptable mileage range.

Already looked at Rockauto as well, thus the question has any one used the Walker or Catco and have you had any problems?
Also checked about 25 yeards for used ones, most do not sell used ones and the ones that do don't have any! :banghead: :banghead:
So its still up jackstands, waiting.......waiting........

try random technology cats. If i remember right they make oem replacements and you can get high-flow ones with the o2 bungie in it.

all the problems i've seen with the "high flow universals" involved them being downstream from a OEM cat, particularly on the 3 cat (2 mini 1 large/resonator) or the two large in line cat systems

as has been said before, no replacement cat flows as well as the OEM cats, whether it's a "high flow cat" or one from eastern or random

that being said, there doesn't seem to be any issues when ALL cats are replaced with the universals, or, when it's upstream cats being replaced with a OEM downstream

seems to be a backpressure conflict between devices

for me it would boil down to what shape the pipes are in whether i bought OEM replacement pipe and cat combos, or, bolted on an entire set of universals

I bought a Walker for my 2002; I didn't need the cart but nobody sells the crossover pipes separately. The installer said the hanger rod was welded slightly off but outside of that it installed perfectly. It had an O2 sensor bung that my car didn't need but we found a suitable plug.

So far no problem; it has been in place for about 3 months (the Jeep is a daily driver), and just completed a couple of 400 mile day trips. No codes, no lights. The upper cats are still stock and it still has the original O2 sensors.

I love my KJ but there are times when I think...trade in and get a nice older TJ, lol. Not sure if they are any more or less issue prone though.
