nah, tb has a mostly permanent installed gasket seal so shouldn't have any issues, just be careful of the sensor clips and what not, standard "lets not break off retainers" rules |

My advice to you is: DON'T PUT IT ON! I ran one of those for about 30,000 miles, then removed it. If you look at it before you install it, you'll see that it actually DECREASES the inside diameter of the throttle body - this is counterintuitive to more / better airflow. Also, after about 15,000 miles my throttle started to squeak whenever I accelerated. I had to remove my throttle body and clean the hell out of it! The next time it started doing that, I removed it. There was 0 (zero), zip, nada, none, NO increase in acceleration or fuel mileage or any other benefit that the manufacturer claims. The simple and hard truth is that the engine is designed to run optimally straight from the factory. TBS were never intended for fuel injected engines. The computer controls all the airflow and fuel mixtures anyway. I even had a K&N FIPK II under the hood. I removed that about 20,000 miles ago and have been enjoying about 2.5 more mpg's!! Take it back to the store and buy your Jeep a nice set of new spark plugs instead!

Thanks guys for all of the comments. They were super helpful. I guess I will return the TBS to JBA. I just replaced my spark plugs actually (E3) I actually dig them, they seem to work fine. -Seth |

good idea fella, that chunk of change is better put to use for other investments perhaps a quality airfilter, new pcv's a can of sensor cleaner to clean the IAC and TPS and a tub of wax or something, winters coming |

My advice would be to invest the money on a nice Can/OBD II code reader. It's an indispensable tool that could save you a lot of money in the long run, especially if you don't trust mechanics! |
