Guys, thanks for your help and links to show me how to change out the blower motor resistor. Here is my new issue.....I got the resistor, from a Chrysler dealer on Ebay $25. I pulled and unlocked the red tab and went to pull out the old resistor, it was stuck, I didn't realize until after that there was also a little black tab in the same area as the red lock tab that needed to be depressed. When I went to pull the reisistor out of the hole, I bent it and the thin, wafter like end on it broke off and fell into the air duct. The hole is so small I couldn't fetch it. My question is, will leaving that broken piece inside the duct harm anything? I put all back together, put the negative cable back on the battery, and the blower now works on all levels with the new part. Any thoughts on the broken piece would be much appreciated!! I have been driving it all week with heat on (getting cold here in Canada) and no issues. I just want to know if this is safe just leaving that broken wafer/chip piece in there.... Thanks. |

it might rattle.. pretty sure that would fall into the low side of the duct, shouldn't interfere with anything i wouldn't worry about it unless you hear it in the fan when you turn it on |

I guess as long as your blower motor is already working no need to mind the other things. JeepinJarhead03 is right it MIGHT really rattle and fall as well. i think that will be fine. just leave it like that and you'll be visiting the dealer in a few months (kidding!) |

worst comes to worse, if it's in the duct and makes racket, it's not truly daunting to R&R the ducts to get it out but considering they haven't posted screaming murder, it probably hasn't caused any problems |
