Hey folks, my side mirrors stopped working - sometimes they work, sometimes, they're slow, sometimes they just flat out don't work... any ideas? - haven't checked the fuses yet, but that doesn't make sence since they do work sometimes, I did open the switch on the door, and it looks fine, all the wiring looks okay too.

Also I need to take my fenders off to have them rhinolined, or linexed or whatever.. but gotta take them off. Looking to do this without breaking anything...
The Jeep is fantastic! I love my CRD!

ON the mirrors, given that their behavior is intermittent, you could be looking at a short, bad connection/dirty connectors in the rocker switch which controls them-- possibly a failing servo motor. But it would be doubtful that both mirror servos would be failing at the exact same time in the exact same way. So your problem is probably upstream. Again, I'd start looking at the 4 way rocker switch itself.

I was going to say it might be ice/temperature related, but then I noticed you're from Texas.

I bout a 78CJ-5 some time ago. Previous owners brother was the rhino guy for the country. Looked really cool having the entire interior Rhino'd but then it was about the heat it absorbed and the moisture trapped beneath it. Destroyed the body. I still have it and I'm still looking for the right donor car. :furious:
