This may seem like its off topic but wanted to have everyone see this

As per my other post, my drivers door window was broken out and my GPS stolen from a Walmart parking lot in the middle of the day.

It wasn't too long after I posted that I received a PM from another member on here. I consider him a great friend even though I have never made it out to meet him or shake his hand.
He stated he had an indash GPS now and had a Garmin Nuvi laying there and if I would give him my address he would send it to me, free of charge! I offered to at least pay postage but he said not to worry about it.

NOW this is what makes this site a great place to be and hang out. He didn't have to do that but he did and I so appreciate it. Lots of great people on here that share their knowledge and experiences daily. They also show their freindship and understanding when life goes wrong.

So just wanted to say a Big Thank You for the GPS.
Best part.......it even has a picture of his when you turn it on
and a black KJ icon guess they don't offer his color as an option :ROTFL:

So Thanks again!
and every one have a Happy Holiday season no matter what your beleifs are!

I was going to offer a "Pastafari: it's kind of a big deal" t-shirt from the Pastafari store to ease the pain of your loss... at a discount of course.

Durangotang has been his usual slacker self getting products designed... I think that thanks to global warming he's able to bounce bicycles off rocks in december or something.

Unlike other events, Pastafari has not forgotten the ladies:

Great to see there are some good samaritans still out there. Kudos to whoever donated the GPS.

from the other thread...
Quote:
Police finally called me yesterday
Asked a few questions, time, place , what was stolen, had I gotten my window repaired yet?
Then he said " Well seems like everything is OK, we'll close the book on this one. Have a great day!"
and hung up

Sounds like the police have done their part :furious: :dead: :dead:

These days they don't do much about petty theft or so it seems. A co-worker had his taken from his truck at home over night. it seemed the police did nothing only came out took a quick report and a pic of the window and that was it. then months later he got a notice to apear in court and didn't understand why or know the other named in the case. Turned out that they were able to pin a ring of area thefts on some guy.

I would have sold you my GPS cheap but now that its not sold and sitting unused here it may end up a christmas gift for a family member that don't have one.
