My passenger side rear defroster connection popped off the window. I'm talking about the actual soldered point, not the terminal connection. Does anyone know a temporary method to affix it to the window until it warms up and I can get it fixed properly? I don't have a heated garage so I can't do anything until the weather improves. It figures this would happen in the winter! LOL |

Sure, I have a solder gun, but no warm place to solder. I don't wanna wreck it either though... |

I had same problem, same time of year. Checked couple AP stores but only real fix is to solder. Had a warm spell & soldered it back. Went to drive-in w/GF, watched movie out the back w/gate open. Went 2 leave & she grabbed the wire thinking it was a handle (huh? |

I too recently just had this happen to me this winter, And so i take it soldering it is the only way. Figured , of course no heated garage for me too. but might just take Zack A advise n take off the whole window n move indoors. But i do want to add that mind happen a few weeks ago n it seems like the side attached still de-iced the window and now after some time it doesnt seem to heat up, will attaching the other side fix this problem, and start to work again or would i be looking at replacing it

Zack, I never thought about that LOL Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me! KTM87, check out this link I found: Frost Fighter 2000It's for this specific product, but regardless, they provide a comprehensive instruction set for the process. I'll probably be doing this on my next day off. Good luck! |
