I've had that happen before, I just turn the key to ACC again and push it in when I cut it back off and it comes out just fine.

I have also had that problem intermittently - but today when I tried to start up my '06 CRD, it turned over 2-3x sluggishly and then it clicked - cycle key and just an audible click, and the locks cycled

WTF?

I have power, but no turnover - I thought I had inadvertenly hit the panic button and tripped a fuel cutoff similar to my '91 XJ, but cycling security system and locks does not resolve the issue - BullyDog will not throw my codes (thanks Daim-Chrys!) so no idea short of a tow to the dealer for diagnosis - anyone save the trip?
