I am about 1/2 way through a tank of gas while using the AMSOIL PI gas treatment. What a huge difference, I highly suggest giving it try. :JEEPIN:

What did you notice being better?

The idle seems much smoother, faster throttle responce and a faster start up. I also stay up on regular maint. so that is not a factor.

Thanks for sharing, I too keep up on maintenance but have been wanting a little more "umph" and this seems to be what I was looking for. Where did you pick it up at?

Give Redline SI-1 and Gumout Fuel System (NOT fuel injection) Cleaner a try as well. They're readily available in the auto parts store and cost quite a bit less, but are highly effective. Nothing against Amsoil, but I'm just a cheapskate! LOL

I used to use a local dealer for all of my AMSOIL untill I found out he was buying it at the local Andersons store just to mark it up to sell to me

i ran half a bottle in the kj and half in the tj and it seemed to work pretty well as a injector cleaner, slightly smoother idle, one of the injectors on the tj had been getting sticky and it cleared that up

i'm usually pretty leery of knock off fuel injector / systems cleaners

i'll probably order another bottle or two next time i order oil for the fleet here lol.. the fucus needs somethin.. more like a block of C4 on the intake but it's worth a shot

Sea Foam works for that as well.
Did wonders on my YJ. I had a sticky injector as well and sometimes would not fire, sea foamed it, and it was all good. Plus it idled smoother and had more giddy up and go. Thats a lot of effort for a YJ! lol
I used it in the crank case and the TB and I just threw the rest in the gas tank.

How much did you get it for? I have a local dealer so I'll see how much he can get it for and compare it to what you get it for so I don't get majorly ripped off! lol

$10.60 out the door. The best part is they carry the entire AMSOIL line up and will order in the EA filters I use when I need them at no charge to me. It's very nice to have their product readily available.

Alright, cool.
Its like 18 shipped from amsoils site.
I'll check the local dealer to see what they say.

Post subject:  Re: AMSOIL PI

have it shipped to ya along with a case of oil rather than alone, i believe it came out cheaper that way, it's got a hazards "tax" on it with the shipping so naturally if you can find it local it'll be cheaper

Don't go away John, not yet anyways
Andersons is a local outfit with 4 or 5 stores
plus the one I went to today did not have any.
The guy was rude when asked about it.
I knew there was a reason I hardly ever go there except for the wine selection :dizzy: :5SHOTS:
